Bring the team closer to its community

Marketing Intern · December 2022 to August 2023

I supported Texas State University Hockey through promotional graphics, social content, game and event promotion, logistics and fan engagement.

My role: turn team information into clear invitations for students, supporters and players.

Useful information, recognizable identity

Tryouts, schedules, game days and drop-in sessions each need a different first detail. I used hierarchy to make the date, location, matchup or participation step easy to find, with maroon, gold, cream, player imagery and team marks keeping the work recognizable.

Reported audience response

In a reported two-month window, shared channel results included 576% growth in accounts reached, 551% growth in accounts engaged and 272 new Instagram followers. My graphics, social content and outreach contributed to that team effort.

These historical figures come from my experience records. Exact comparison dates and the original analytics report are not available here.

From interest to the ice

Two-slide drop-in hockey promotion | Summer 2023

The first slide introduces the opportunity: Sunday sessions for current or future Texas State players, with the location and five-session price in a clear hierarchy.

The second slide answers the questions that turn interest into participation: exact dates, rink address, session times, and a direct-message call to action.

Copy in context: “Current or future TXST hockey players welcome” invites a specific audience without assuming they are already on the team.

My contribution: promotional graphics and social content during my Marketing Intern role. Team photography and marks support the shared identity.

Original event creative. Dates and pricing are historical.
